I just passed 140,000 words on my novel this morning. About 10,000 left to go.

Five chapters to go, plus an epilogue.

Six more left.

Seven more to go.

But I just passed the 90% mark, 135,000 words.

I watched the two-part Star Trek: Enterprise mirror universe storyline today, and it was great fun. This final season is definitely going to be the best, perhaps because the writers this season seem to be having more fun with the scripts. Also, they aren't afraid to tie into the established Star Trek mythos, while still keeping the show's own identity.

Eight more chapters to go. And after three weeks of being a bit behind where I wanted to be, I'm now slightly ahead. Which brings to mind a famous quotation: "Great, kid. Don't get cocky." -- Han Solo

The number of chapters remaining is now in the single digits. Oh, and thanks to Kaimi for a suggestion that helped with this chapter, although maybe not quite the way he intended.

I saw The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy this evening. I think they did a good job overall of adapting it for a movie. A lot of good laughs. I recommend it to people who like that sort of thing.
