I'll be doing a signing and reading at the University Book Store at 4326 University Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105, along with a couple of my fellow WOTF XXI authors, Ken Scholes, David W. Goldman, and Stephen Stanley. WOTF XIX (and Campbell Award) winner Jay Lake will also be there.
Well, now that I've learned a little more about writing for TV, my page count estimate's going to be a little off. You see, for TV writing the screenplay is divided into acts, and each act starts on a new page no matter how much white space that leaves. It doesn't mean you never need to eat. There's only so much the synthesizers can do, and if you don't replenish the raw materials occasionally your... read more »
Sorry, I've been watching too much Smallville. BYU's newspaper, the Daily Universe, ran a story today about writing groups. The reporter and a photographer came by my Thursday night group, so I'm quoted in the article. (I am not, however, in the photograph.) You can read the story here. (The web version appears to have some typos that were corrected... read more »
