I've added an update to my entry about including recent referrers, in which I implement the display of search keywords when the referrer is Google, Yahoo, or MSN. (Thanks to Rachel for the suggestion.) In order to make it display correctly, I had to create a plugin for Movable Type that would reverse URL encoding.
I am writing this entry in an e-mail. If all goes well, it should get posted to my blog automatically. If you're reading this, and everything looks OK, then it works!
I don't recall ever having gone to see a sequel when I haven't seen the previous movie(s) in the series. But I went to see Scary Movie 3 on Saturday night without having seen either of the first two. If you like the sort of humor in Airplane! and The Naked Gun (which I do) and you have seen Signs... read more »
My brother Michael is a big Denver Broncos fan. They lost in the last minute of Monday Night Football. The New England Patriots, down 23-24, took an intentional safety instead of punting out of their own endzone. That made it a three-point game. Air Force: If they lose to either at New Mexico or at San Diego State, they end up 4-3. If they lose to both, they end... read more »
UPDATE: This stopped working properly after I upgraded to MT 3.1, so I'm no longer doing it this way. I looked for a plugin to do this, and I couldn't really find something that didn't require access to AWStats on the server. (At the time, I didn't have access to it, and now that I do, I haven't bothered to... read more »
Another find: This is a ticket for an Olympic Men's Hockey game between Russia and Finland (Suomi). Since my best friend when I lived in England (Tatu "Danny" Huhanantti) was from Finland, I cheered for underdog Finland against overdog Russia. And -- no doubt due to my cheering -- Finland won the game. That was my Olympic experience.
During the course of cleaning up my computer room, I came across this ticket stub for a Utah Jazz game: The seat was in the "nosebleed" section: in the last row of seats. The players looked tiny. But I can say I actually saw Michael Jordan play.
