The good news is I have this afternoon off.

The bad news is that my company decided to do some restructuring and restructured me out of a job, along with a dozen or so others.

So after seven years, nine months and three weeks of working for Direct Communications/ Online, I’m looking for something new. I’ll be pondering my options over the next few days.

I blame George W. Bush and his refusal to back the Kyoto Treaty!*

*Not really. I blame Harry Reid and Nansy Pelosi. The Democrats take over Congress, and less than three months later, I’m out of a job. Coincidence? I think not!*

*Not really.

    Oh sad! I’m so sorry!

    *Grumbles about restructuring.

Any idea what you’re looking for in a new job?

  2. Yikes!

Well… at least you’ll have more time for writing, aside from all that pesky business of looking for a new job.

Aw man, that sucks. I’ve been in “restructured” positions before and it really sucks. Some MBA comes in and gets the bright idea that the company’s financial problems can be traced to having too many employees and “poof,” there goes your job.

On the plus side, whew, good timing on getting your surgury done while you still had insurance!

  4. Sorry, man.

In good news, though, this means you can move to Seattle!

While you can move to Seattle, you should move to Dallas! After all, you’re a Cowboys fan!

Ouch. Sorry to hear that Eric…

  7. Good luck, Eric. Here\’s hoping you find a good job soon.
