Another crafted writing assignment for my creative writing class. The reason it follows so close on the heels of another one is that I was a week behind, but I’ve now caught up. I started writing this yesterday and finished after midnight. So I got in my 13 lines for yesterday, and while I technically got 13 lines for today, I think I’ll probably end up writing some more today.
The assignment was: Write an introspective internal dialogue from a character who has been through some kind of “school of hard knocks” trauma that knocked them off of a pedestal they didn’t necessarily realize they were on. In this dialogue your character should come to grips that the character of the universe is different than what they had previously chosen to believe, and now they must change their worldview in order to survive.
