This film goes to eleven!

I don’t usually bother watching the Oscars, but I watched to see if what I hoped would happen, would happen.

And it did.

Eleven Oscars to “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.” A clean sweep.

That ties it for the record with “Ben Hur.” (According to official website policy, we are ignoring another film.)

I watched the entire thing. Possibly only the second time in my life. Usually, I just tune in for the last 30 minutes for the “big awards”. I was quite happy for everyone involved with LoTR. Except for some reason, Elijah Wood gets on my nerves. But I digress. I would have loved to see Sean Astin up for supporting actor or actor for RotK.

As for that other movie, rest well knowing that most critics (and people general) think it was entirely undeserving.

I don’t usually watch either; I can’t stand watching actors flubbing their parts (why can’t they just memorize them like they do parts in movies?) and stumbling around with speeches. I did, however, occasionally check in and was as happy as you were by the clean sweep. I only wish Viggo had been in the audience to drool over!

It tied with [name of movie deleted in accordance with official website policy] too. I can’t believe [name of movie deleted in accordance with official website policy] did so well. Yuck.

Oh, sure, blatant disregard for official website policy! What kind of an anarchist are you? It’s as if you ignore the previous posts and enforce your will upon all those who come across your post.

When a film is to be ignored, it should be ignored.

This website will forgive you just this once, Carlene. Just don’t let it happen again. ;-)
