The Supreme Court of Massachusetts has decided to redefine the word marriage to include something that the word has never meant.
Maybe I’m wrong, but I think the gay lobby has overreached by pursuing a litigation strategy which is forcing acceptance of same-sex marriage on a population that does not want to accept it.
I think there will be a public-relations backlash against the idea, which may lead to acceptance of a Federal Marriage Amendment.

The Mass. court stayed its ruling for six months. If the legislature does not begin the process of amending their state constitution to counter this ruling, then I’m fairly certain the Federal Marriage Amendment will be a national campaign issue.
