During a fit of insomnia last night, I was looking at the various plugins for Movable Type (the software I use to run my blogs.) One of them added the capability of auto-linking Bible references to an online Bible.
That reminded me of something I read on someone’s blog (I think it was A Soft Answer, but I can’t find that entry right now.) that talked about how it was possible to link to individual verses of LDS scripture on the Church’s website.
So, since I don’t know how to program Movable Type plugins, but I do know JavaScript, I wrote one to parse a web page and link all the scripture references (such as Alma 3:16.) You can see it (and get it for your own use) here.
Maybe later I’ll figure out how to do a MT plugin version.
