I’m taking a creative writing class through UVSC‘s community education program. The teacher is Sharon Jarvis, who has published a few novels. (This is the second class I’ve taken through UVSC; the previous one was last summer, from Caleb Warnock.)
Anyway, the class is on Tuesday nights, and so, true to my procrastinating nature, I am just now getting around to doing the writing exercises, while listening to and sort-of watching Monday Night Football.
So, here’s exercise #1: Choose five or more genres (from a list provided) and make up at least one title for each.
Mystery: What Rhymes With Corpses?
Western: Long Range
Ghost/supernatural: Sure to Catch It
Science Fiction: Limiting Case
Sports: Fair Catch
Update: Changed the name for the mystery from Rhymes With Corpse.
