Now that other matters are out of the way, it’s time for me to get cracking on the novel again.
Win or lose, I hope it’s over tonight
I voted this morning before work. I had to wait 45 minutes — the longest I’ve ever had to wait.
If Kerry wins, I hope it’s by enough of a margin that the Bush campaign concedes. If Bush wins, I hope it’s large enough that Kerry concedes. Much as I enjoy polititics, I just want it over.
Distraction
OK, it’s clear I’m not going to finish my next chapter until after the election. I’m sorry — I can’t help it. I’m a political junkie.
Book Signings
I’m scheduled to do two book signings in Utah County. These are my first solo book signings ever.
The first is at Barnes & Noble in Orem, next Saturday (November 6, 2004) from 2:00-4:00pm. The major downside is it’s in the middle of the BYU-San Diego State game — but since the game starts at 1pm and won’t be done until after 4, I should get to see some of it, and anyone coming to the bookstore during those hours will miss the stadium traffic.
One week later (November 13) I’ll be signing at Borders Books in Provo from 2:00-4:00pm.
If any readers of this blog can make it to one of the signings, be sure to mention that you heard about it here.
