B-52’s Over Baghdad?

The Command Post is right to be skeptical about this photo from CBS’s
web site, purporing to be a night-vision photo of B-52’s flying over Baghdad:

for the process to show that it is a fake.

First, change the image to grayscale:

Next, change it to a neagtive image:

Now if you look at the shadow of the wing on the engines, and the shadow
of the fuselage on the wing, it makes perfect sense. But look back at
the original image, and try to explain why, if it is real, there are glowing
hot spots where the shadows are in the negative.
